I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. There I began swimming at age 6 for Kirkwood Swim Team during the summers. After a few years, I began swimming year-round for Kirkwood-Webster and later, Rockwood Swim Team. I focused on distance swimming and had junior national cuts in the 500 free, 1000 free, and the mile.
In addition to swimming I also ran cross country and track during high school. During my senior year I was offered a scholarship to run for the University Of Notre Dame, an opportunity I could not pass up. Despite numerous injuries, I had a great running career at Notre Dame. I graduated with a dual-degree in Science Business and Marketing. After graduation I moved to San Diego for graduatel. This group is for individuals age 9-17 who are new to the sport of swimming, have been away from swimming for a period of time, or water polo players who swim to stay in shape for (r polo season. The coaches stress the fundamentals of swimming: stroke technique, starts, and turns. They will also build endurance, familiarize them with the clock, spark an interest in swimming meets and/or encourage interest that is already there, and develop each swimmer so they are ready for the next level of competitive. swimming
